Carpenter Bees

Carpenter bees look a lot like bumble bees except that their abdomen is shiny black and not covered with a lot of hair. They are generally non-aggressive towards people and pets. These guys dig into soft wood around the eaves, fascia boards, and trim around structures. They do not eat the wood as food. They are actually doing it to lay eggs. You will get more carpenter bees the following year if they are left untreated.
