They get to your home by hitching a ride on your clothes or luggage. Bed bugs can be picked up almost anywhere. We have seen them picked up by people in taxi cabs, movie theaters, hotels, visiting someone's home that is infested, luggage in airports, used mattresses and furniture and neighboring apartments.
