Bats

Bats are beneficial animals because they eat thousands of insects a night. Sometimes they will roust in attics where they could come into contact with people. Exposure to their droppings can lead to health issues. A very small percentage of bats carry rabies, mites and bat bugs (a relative of human bed bugs). If you find a bat in your home (alive or dead) call us for emergency removal. We can have them tested for rabies to make sure you have not been exposed. Please note; bat exclusion in attics cannot be performed from June thru mid September because of breeding. Young bats that are unable to fly will become trapped and die in the attic.
